English raider Pounced produced a dramatic stretch run to overtake Bridgetown and win the $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf by three-quarters of a length at Santa Anita Park Saturday. With his versatility and powerful turn of foot, Interactif, a homebred son of Broken Vow trained by Todd Pletcher, certainly looms large in the one-mile contest. But anything can happen amongst inexperienced 2-year-olds and there are several starters that look intriguing -- some of them that could b...Read More
After taking a sabbatical from training for nearly a year in 2005 and ’06, trainer Ken McPeek figured he would need three years for his stable to completely bounce back. McPeek may outdo himself in meeting that projection. He picked up his first Keeneland Race Course training title with 17 winners d...Read More

Wertheimer and Frere's impressive homebred Interactif will be the likely favorite for the $1-million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (gr. IIT) Nov. 7 at Santa Anita, but the son of Broken Vow will have to defeat what is expected to be a full field in the one-mile event.Read More
  • Rossington · Interactif is a very impressive looking 2yr.old to me. He's a very physically fit, strong looking horse that races very smart for a 2yr.old, looking at times like an older horse. I personally think he's the best 2yr.old in training in the U.S. right now, dirt or turf. He is likely to get tested in the Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf by the European competition. Most particularly Viscount Nelson who is 4-2-1-1. Also from Pounced and Vale of York. Interactif is 4-3-0-0 and will likely be a slight favorite over Viscount Nelson going into the B.C. Juvenile Turf. It would be really surprising to me for this horse not to at the very least finish in the money on Breeders Cup day. · 133 days ago
In this edition, we'll touch on the final preps for the two Breeders' Cup juvenile races for males and our initial observations on the participants exiting those races that are headed to California.Read More
  • Rossington · I think Lookin at Lucky and D'Funnybone will be the two to beat in the B.C. Juvenile. In the B.C. Juvenile Turf, Interactif, imo, is the best 2yr.old in training in the U.S. right now, dirt or turf. I wouldn't be surprised to see his connection's after the Breeders Cup races try him on dirt sometime early in 2010. If he takes to the dirt he could be a real player in next year's Triple Crown Series. His toughest competition in the Juvenile Turf, on paper anyway, looks to be the European horse Viscount Nelson as they're both already proven winner's with Interactif being 4-3-0-0 and Viscount Nelson being 4-2-1-1. This race should prove to be an interesting match up between these two juvenile stars. But I'd have to give a slight edge to Interactif. · 133 days ago
Trainer Ken McPeek said Oct. 16 that he will send his Breeders' Cup quarter to Santa Anita on Oct. 19. The lineup was completed when Magdalena Racing’s House of Grace scored a nose victory over Smart Seattle in the off-the-turf JPMorgan Chase Jessamine. “They are all going out on the 19th,” McPeek s...Read More
Time to take a look at the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf, and the Todd Pletcher runner Interactif is the one to deny. The Broken Vow colt, out of a Broad Brush mare, graduated in a main track sprint. He pressed the pace and weakened in the Grade 2 Sanford at Saratoga 2nd time out, and then Pletch...Read More
