Brave Dave is back at Calder on Saturday in the Big Drama Stakes, I think he will make it a winning effort.
Trilogy Stable and Laurie Plesa’s 3-year-old Itsmyluckyday breezed an easy mile in 1:46 flat Saturday morning at Calder for trainer Eddie Plesa, Jr. as he continues preparation for a start next as one of the favorites in the $1 million Florida Derby (G1) at Gulfstream Park on Sat., Mar. 30.Read More

I know he's not really Derby material but I do like him.

Brave Dave won in another impressive performance in a stakes race.
I think this horse has a bunch of potential.... He lost the Sanford, setting the fast pace. But, he BLEW the turn and finished fourth. That showed he didn't fade that much. Then, he comes back and wins the Sapling Stakes. I don't think he'll be some type of unbeatable monster, but I think he can be a decent G2 horse. Maybe at middle distances like 7-9 furlongs in the future.
Nice win in the Sapling Stakes!
In Monmouth Park’s two premier events for juveniles, Brave Dave overcame a bad stumble out of the gate to capture the Grade 3 $100,000 Sapling Stakes and Doubled closed strongly up the rail to take the $100,000 Sorority Stakes before a crowd 15,424 on Sunday.Read More
