Border Patrol

This is an excellent 4yr.old colt, with a lot of ability. He's 7-4-1-1 lifetime, with his only off the board finish coming in the 09' Prix De La Foret. A race that even Goldikova was beaten in. He beat Southeaster, a colt that had beaten Gitano Hernando in the 09' Goddard Dee Stakes, in the Dubai International Airport Maiden Stakes at Newbury. Then went on to win the Heron Stakes at Sandown, the Solonaway Stakes at Curragh and finished 2nd in his most recent start to Zafisio in the 09' Prix Perth in France. The reason I bring up Border Patrol? He's scheduled next to race again at Newbury on May 15, 2010, in the Juddmonte Lockinge Stakes. A field that will start Rip Van Winkle, Delegator, Zacinto, Paco Boy, Calming Influence, Sirocco Breeze, and Alexandros. Alexandros raced in the 09' Lockinge, and lost a head's up, head's down, on the bob photo to Virtual for the win. Twice Over was 3rd in that race. I think with all the talent that's coming to this year's Lockinge Stakes, Border Patrol may be a colt at a price, and I really like his chances of finishing in the money, if not maybe stealing a win.
