I wish bobby would've won.
On June 22, Bobby's Kitten worked 4F on fast dirt in 49.21, finishing 2/19

  • cedar · Should be a good Belmont Derby. I will be rooting for my boy Bobby though some nice ones are going into this race · 281 days ago
Showed his class today in winning the Penn Mile!

  • cedar · Very happy to see my boy in the winners circle today. Anyone know why Javier was wearing the yellow cap today? Not sure why it wasn't white or red... · 303 days ago
  • cedar · just watched again, looks like jocks were wearing same colored helmets as their saddle cloths · 303 days ago
Chad Brown told DRF, he wants to stretch out Bobby's Kitten, and maybe we could see a showdown between him and Dance with Fate in the G1 Belmont Derby on 7/5

Headlines the Penn Mile at Penn National and could square off with Global View.
He wanted NO part of the Ramsey's rating strategy today. I didn't expect him to win today, but get him back to grass and let him run he lacks the maturity to rate.

  • cedar · Haha. Personally, I like Mr. Ramsey. But by no means do I think he is infallible! I was talking with someone after the race saying that I'm sure Castellano would have liked to let him run rather than waste the horses energy fighting to hold him back, but there is no way Castellano would go against Ramsey's directions given the aftermath of BC juv. turf. As far as Bobby moving forward, I think you just gotta let him run and hope he lasts to win until he can learn otherwise. Not sure why they were pushing the rating - he hasn't done it before and has been working alone. Seems very immature and head strong (Might have made a nice gelding if they weren't looking for Kitten's Joy's stud progeny) · 352 days ago
  • tmallios · That is the problem with people. They will chirp and say how great their horses are.Yet when it is time to run in the big races, they change strategy mid stream. If you do not feel that your horse is good enough to compete in the running style that got them there. Then newsflash>> They are not that good to begin with.l · 352 days ago
Sorry Ken, the Blue Grass will not be yours even with JJ and Chad......Butcher your ship has rolled in.
After the Louisiana Derby Ken Ramsey said Bobby's Kitten is still pointed at the Bluegrass with intentions of the Derby should he earn the points.

  • cedar · I liked his last race out. Granted it was against no competition, but I thought it was funny watching how hard Castellano was holding him back. Different running style that most other Kittens but he's my favorite besides Stephanie · 366 days ago
  • Sullivan · He made a good showing, and his breeding reminds me a little of August Belmont's strategy of breeding stamina to stamina. The Major figured that when you got one with a little bit of speed, you had a helluva horse. · 366 days ago
Per Chad Brown Bobbys Kitten first major goal will be the Belmont Derby this summer. Not surprising hes built for it

  • tmallios1 · I am not saying that Ken in this instance is insensitive to the Horses health. Just that they look at horses like Mine that Bird ,even I'll Have Another who win at huge prices and say.Why not me. If you put truth syrum in Ramsey,he would most likely tell you what others say. Bobby is (5 % turf and 5% dirt) But for the Derby only.Sorry for the French. Who gives a shit,we will harp on the 5%. If he truly thought this was a Derby Horse,he would of plotted a schedule to run on the dirt to see if he could compete amongst the top 3yo.He did not do that,he is taking that now "INFAMOUS BACK DOOR" approach to run on a comparable surface to the turf. Running in the Derby is very stressful on a horse, let alone one who is not prepared for the experience. Just hope all goes well with him and all the other entrants. · 367 days ago
  • tmallios1 · 95 % turf and 5 % dirt · 367 days ago
I tip my hat to Ken Ramsey if he truly runs in the Bluegrass. He has arguably one of the top 3yo turf colts in America right now. Due to the similarities between turf and Poly, and with no stars pointing for the race.Ken is taking a shot at a Million Dollar purse and a back door entry into the Kentucky Derby. Not all about the Benjamins, one must troke the ego of being an entry in the biggest stage. Like i said, i do congratulate Ken,this is how to manage a race horse. Worst case scenerio. After the Derby he goes at them in the Virginia Derby. Well played Ken.

  • Sullivan · I was watching the BC race and thinking how he and We Miss Artie should be switched. This horse is a helluva front runner · 400 days ago
  • cedar · I'm partial to all the Ramsey horses but I'm a big fan after seeing him in person at Saratoga. Been watching his works (looks like he and Kitten Kaboodle are on a similar schedule) but wish we would hear something soon about his next race. · 400 days ago
guess i m on his bandwagon now. the good news is i have my real derby horse Candy Boy at five 20 bets . at 32 to won , he did look very good today
I can not find out where he might be running , why would he be a seperate betting interest .
i mistakenly made a 25 future bet in the latest pool on BK other than lasst years two races ,. what is he doing where is he at
Sounds like the jockey is not getting the ride on this horse again.
This horse could become a real star. His last two races are as impressive as they get. Even his first race where he makes a big move to get 3rd in a bad ride is pretty nice. And now he has shown he can carry speed and then explode away from everyone. We will see how he stacks up against these Euro's but I think this one could be something else.
My Juvenile Turf Horse
Castellano will ride Bobby's Kitten (BC Juv.Turf)
