70th so far, he has never been huge on the sire rankings with 22nd last year, 24th the year before, but without To Honor And Serve, Stay Thirsty, the sire of New York runners may be done.

  • kay.robinett · Darley did send world class mares to him for his first crops (rumors have it that they turned down Oatsee!!!). Not sure about later crops. I actually have more respect for both Tapit and Malibu Moon from the Slew line. Both worked their way up into being prominent stallions starting with lesser mares and lesser stud fees. Now that they are getting really good mares, their next few crops should only get better and better. · 463 days ago
  • Sullivan · Kay, I understand your respect for Tapit and Malibu Moon. I don't understand where the Tapit hate comes from, but he sure as heck moved his way up and it is good to see him blossom for Gainesway · 463 days ago
Two Travers winners in a row.

What's not to like about Bernardini.?
why did Bernardini only race 1 year?
One of the greats. A.P. Indy always puts out runners. Great sire.
  • travel_vic · A late bloomer who was at the top of his game for a few races. We will never know as he left the stage too soon. Was he in regression when he met Invasor or what??? We won't know · 934 days ago
The first derby prep of the year, friday 3rd race gulfstream park.Who do you like consortium or algorithms ?
He is the best current stallion, He's got some work to do if he is going to surpass his father.
I find it amazing the quality he is producing. I may be wrong but I can't remeber a young stallion like this.

  • JohnByrd · Actually, jackie999....if people are willng to pay Bernardini's stud fee, it is warranted. · 993 days ago
  • travel_vic · look no further than the best sire of the twentieth century who used to ROUTINELY command 1 million: NORTHERN DANCER · 993 days ago
Ridiculous level for a stud fee, especially during economic times such as these.
  • MikeRullo · He warrants that stud fee, He is a top 5 stallion · 1025 days ago
  • yukichan · So far this year, his progeny have earned over $5,000,000 in purses, making him the leader in the second-crop sires’ list for 2011... · 1025 days ago
Wow. Bernardini's stud fee was raised from $75,000 to $150,000. He's had some good ones so far but..
Havre de Grace's half brother just sold for 1.2 million...the Bernardini show continues...
His foals sell for alot! I just saw one sell for 1.2 million, and the others went for around 500,000+!!
The yearlings by bernardini put on quite a show today at the Saratoga sale, selling for a respective $600,000, $750,000, $300,000, $575,000, $300,000, $430,000, and $950,000. also, SUPERFECTION (Medaglia D'Oro x Supercharger, 1/2 to Super Saver, Brethren) was the day's sale topper, selling for $1.2 million. Bring on Day 2!!!
  • amfuller · The one I'm going to be excited about today is the 1/2 brother to Havre de Grace. · 1119 days ago

It's the Bernardini show at Fasig-Tipton....holy cow, or stud.
how can anybody rank this horse lower than a perfect 10?
  • icyhotboo · I gave him a 7 and thought it to be generous considering he's a grade 2 horse. That's all he eer beat were grade 2 horses then ran into Invasor and got stomped on because he NEVER came the last half faster than 50: · 1305 days ago
  • racecaller · He ran pretty well in the Classic that he lost... big early move... · 1305 days ago
