  • yukichan · Love watching WM run, especially as she comes barreling down the strech as I expect her to do. In a sea of bays, she is a beauty--like my avatar/namesake ; ) · 643 days ago ·

  • Serebyani · I sincerely HOPE Indian Tale isn't entered on Sunday in the Lake Placid!! If she is, this will be her FITH START IN 15 DAYS!!! In her last start "She wanted no part of competition, however, and merely jogged ‘round the track in the fifth, finishing last." per a BH article. I would think she's hopelessly outclassed at a G2 level! To have her possibly "jog" around the track in a G2 would be, IMO, highly embarassing to Sataroga!! · 643 days ago ·

Kinda Spicy certainly is bred to be a champion. The powerful, young bay is a daughter of two Horses of the Year; America’s 1992 champ, A.P. Indy, and a Chilean Horse of the Year, Isola Piu Bella, who was also was a graded stakes winner after coming to the States. In only two starts it appears that a...Read More

I have a bit of catching up to do since my last 2011 Kentucky Derby Oaks blog was posted on Jan 24. The Forward Gal Stakes was run on Jan 30 and featured two of my top ten players, R Heat Lightning and Dancinginherdreams, but both played second fiddle to surprise winner Pomeroys Pistol. Performance of the week was turned in by Kathmanblu. The Ken McPeek trainee was making her first start since a facile triumph in the Nov 27 Golden Rod. She did not win by open lengths in Gulfstream’s Sweetest Chant on the turf but she effortlessly rolled from off the pace and received a rock solid 9...Read More
  • ajump08 · Was not a strong Juvenile Filly group, at least on turf. New comers, turf fillies, and the fall champs will own the division. These include More Than Real, Kathmanblu, Winter Memories, Turbulent Descent, and Dancinginherdreams. I will be watching the allowance and maiden ranks closely because it seems prime for some kind of star to emerge within the relatively weak that currently lead the division. · 849 days ago ·

Turbulent Descent retains the top spot on my list after easily winning for the third time in as many starts in the Hollywood Starlet.
