Came first in the My Trusty Cat Stakes, but bumped Lady Grantham twice, cutting off her run. After the race the stewards disqualified Bahnah and placed her in 5th place for the interference caused.

  • jonquil · Idek. The whole thing left me feeling conflicted. Glad Synapse won this, but not like this at all. Sad that things turned out this way for Bahnah who really did great. So I decided to post the info so that hopefully ppl glancing at her profile won't just assume she ran fifth. Wish there was some kind of DQ/Fall/Did not finish choice along with the #s for race entries. Or a place to post notes for things like this. · 977 days ago

DEAD HEAT! Both her and Brazen Persuasion would not let that win go.

Trainer Bret Calhoun said that Bahnah, a six-length winner at Churchill Downs on June 6 in her first start, is being pointed to the Schuylerville (GIII) at Saratoga on July 19. “The Debutante was coming back just a little too quick,” Calhoun said.
Wayne Sanders and Larry Hirsch’s Bahnah, a 2-year-old bay filly by Elusive Quality, scored an impressive six-length victory in her career debut on Thursday at Churchill Downs. Trainer Bret Calhoun said no plans have been made for her next start; however, he did not rule out the $100,000-added Debutante at Churchill Downs on June 22.
