First off I would like to start off by saying, I got to see the Derby Draw LIVE yesterday! I know, not a big deal, but for a college student who is stuck with no TVG or HRTV, this was a humungous deal. I sat on the edge of my seat waiting for each and every one of my top selections names to be calle...Read More

i think that Backtalk will be ready for his next race i dont think that he like the track
  • curlin · I completely disagree. He had one twice at churchill downs before and twice on a wet track before. the track conditions derby day were almost tailor made for his likings. i think he either: won his races against crappy horses and was obviously overmatched in the derby or he just didnt want to run that day. it happens sometimes. remember big brown in the belmont. he was by far the best horse of that year but on that day he didnt want to run. now im not saying backtalk will be a big brown calibre horse. i think at best he will be a below average graded stakes horse. · 1111 days ago ·

  • Arrrgy · People didn't realize that CD was hard all day and when it started to drain, it got deep and cuppy. A totally different track. One that causes bowed tendons. From bone crushing to tendon stretching. That's the worse racing strip this side of Emerald downs. I hate it. We lost Esky and Awesome act and who knows how many others to it. :( · 1110 days ago ·

Taking nothing away from Super Saver, who ran a terrific race to win the Kentucky Derby, but he wasn't the best horse Saturday at Churchill Downs. • humphrey · ONE of these days, BUT I DOUBT IT, people are going to learn that horse up closer to the pace that last (no matter how visually underwhelming) are much much more often having their picture taken than these cloud closers, HISTORICALLY deep closers never win their fair share of the races in which they continually make these big moves.. · 1116 days ago ·
