Older Comments about Archwarrior...

Archwarrior, Doctor Chit, and Rattlesnake Bridge have been retired to Hartley/DeRenzo for 2014
Putting this under his name; I haven't heard much "backstretch buzz" about 2 year olds at the Spa this year. Has anyone heard of any 2 year olds that are training particularly well this summer?
i have a list of a few horses that haven't worked out for awhile & i was wondering if anyone knew if they were still active. - Archwarrior, Bern Identity, Emcee, Guyana Star Dweej, Hear the Ghost, Ive Struck a Nerve, Mark Valeski, Narvaez, Pants On Fire, Purple Egg, Renee's Titan, Tara From the Cape, The Lumber Guy, Unstoppable U, & Went the Day Well.

  • Northport · Emcee was in Dubai over the winter with Mahmood Al Zarooni, and if he ended up going back to Newmarket with him, which - based on their website - he did, he would have been banned from running until the tests for rest of the horses at Moulton paddocks came back, which took a month or so. While it says Alpha returned to the US, it says Emcee is trained by 'Godolphin', which was what was put for all of the horses who were under the care of Al Zarooni · 1064 days ago
  • Northport · Went The Day Well underwent tieback surgery in the middle of March and was expected to get 60 days off at least - http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/76840/went-the-day-well-to-undergo-tieback-surgery · 1064 days ago

Archwarrior is getting a break in Kentucky. It is uncertain whether he'll make it back in time to make the Kentucky Derby.

  • goblin · No, Peppermint, I found that site by accident while searching for info on Gulfport last week. I have no idea how it is for betting purposes. · 1229 days ago
  • Peppermint Paddy · right on...thanx. I think I'm down to Twinspires. At least they provide free simulcast - oops sorry TVG, I know you got your hands on this site. I still use you on my phone when I'm at the track. · 1229 days ago
Cant wait to see him hit the track again. All that hype could not be for nothing ;)

  • US Bombs! · Hope he stays healthy. He looks awesome. Saw him work in saratoga with Stay Thirsty. · 1235 days ago
Hes being called the second coming. For thoes who dont know there talking about the next Secretariat. Now remember secretariat didnt go undefeated as a 2 year old and he lost his prep before the derby so im not to worried that he wont still be great.

  • Dressage3295 · Personally, I think that if we ever have a second coming of Secretariat (or Dr. Fager, Ruffian, Kelso, Man O' War, etc.) that horse will burn bright right from the start. I say this because these horses could have EASILY outrun the horses of today, and therefore, if one is to be as incredible as they were, they must show such against the current competition. There will be little to no doubt in anyone's mind that the horse is a champion. We are sure to have good horses along the way, but we'll know the very moment they step foot on the track that they are truly great. · 1246 days ago
  • likin sparks · I like the fact he's been lightly raced, as long as he sound could be a big player in the TC this year. · 1246 days ago
Palm Meadows Training Center 12/24/2012 Dirt 3F 38.56 Breezing 19/29 Hes back on the work tab as of today
this horse is not overrated. all you haters need to remeber a horse called eskendereya who ran terrible as a juvenile and came back as a three year old bigger better more weight and dominated everyone.

  • Dressage3295 · e dominated among the horses he faced, but who knows if that would have transferred over in the derby? · 1271 days ago
  • rafirox · I agree, james. This horse has ran only two races...... And the fourth was in a Grade One to Shangai Bobby, who happens to be the SECOND (Sorry Bobby) best juvenile in the nation. Archwarrior is one to watch. · 1271 days ago
I knew he was overrated.

  • Southern.humor · This horse has HUGE potential. I'd rather see him blossom later in the year (more towards) the Derby, than right now. I think either Darwin or AW will be Pletchers Derby horse. Obviously SB is already starting to fade, as they are thinking of pulling him out of the BC. · 1324 days ago
The real deal. I was going to add a play of the day with this colt, but there will be no value for this race. Pay very close attention to the Foxwoods Champagne because this colt is one of the best in Pletchers barn.
The World's Fastest Juvenile!
I must say, I'm impressed. Johnny sensed the fast pace and told warrior to stalk... He listened... He looked like he was a three year old facing two year olds! He looked mature, cool, calm, collected and excited. Most two year olds with that speed don't have the maturity to sit like that, many NEVER are able to! Then, when Johnny told him to show his speed, he blew away. And may I say so myself.... He is BIG! He's gigantic. That's the positive, the negative is he didn't seem like he had all the juice at the end.. Oh well, it was almost impossible to llive up to the hype, but to ME, he kind of did, in that race. I'm nlown away by the performance... But I do think my boy Spuriciuos Precision (sorry for the spelling) can challenge him. I know he's a maiden, but WOW! Sorry for blabbing to much..... You guys know I do this a lot, haha, I'm very talkative. :)

  • seattleslewgal345 · It was a nice debut, but honestly, I think there were other more impressive maiden winners this year. The fact that he *Mmay* not like the slop will not work to his benefit in future faces (remember Shackleford?). Who knows. You know, one can go on and say "oh, this horse could run all day" and so on, but that doesn't mean that the horse actually will. Again, we'll see. · 1362 days ago
  • rafirox · I know this is to much for a two year old, who only won once. I've seen more TALENT in a maiden this year, examples: Kautie Katie, My Happy Face, Know More (still counts), Teen Pauline, and Brown Almighty. But, this colt is plain out wierd! IN MY LIFE, I have never seen a two year old maiden be that mature, he acted like he's ran 20 times before. · 1361 days ago
And, as usual, the popularity contest put this colt at the top, when he simply has a maiden win.
