What the Nation is saying about Archarcharch...

His trainer, william fires, is very nice. I met him and got my picture taken with him and a winning horse in the winner's circle at Hoosier Park
i miss so much archarcharch, he was great i hate how he got injured in kentucky derby
I miss him & he was the one I choose for the Kentucky Derby. I hated it that he had post position # 1 with that many horses running. Got crowded & pushed around @ start & was probably injured during that particular time but by gosh, that boy finished the race & he was ahead of horses that had not been injured!!
I miss this boy :/
so sad that he is retired:(

It happens every single year, people see a hot new closer running on late to just barely miss, and then they go hog wild over him. For this year’s Derby, that horse’s name would be Nehro.Read More

  • blooy · psh nehor was a tough bastard, this was the extra room he needed, and the jockey really blew it, bad timing. you know he comes from out of the clouds not on turn, not sure what happend there. we saw it all the time down the strech near miss by nehro, then he makes the move on the turn, wait man, you fly on the strech. had they went on the strech, like animal kindom , could have been closer. but thats horse racing, guess a spoiler for the belmont? those closers all on timing, still congrats to him . · 372 days ago ·

It appears that the ever classy jockey Johnny Velazquez is giving a portion of his Derby earnings to Robby Albarado. I write about Johnny a lot. I think he is not only a great jockey, but obviously a most incredible human being. I have been rooting for Johnny to win the Derby for quite some time; it...Read More

  • annmatt · Jockey changes are nothing new. And, it wasn't as if Albarado was AK's regular jockey. Had Robby ridden those two days instead of taking off, he would have been the rider on AK. AK's connections were right to wonder whether Albarado would be 100% when Albarado himself by taking himself off his mounts caused a question to arise! · 376 days ago ·

  • BigAConfidential · Nice work, Angie. And I echo all of your above sentiments. Great to see a last-minute change benefit Johnny V, for once. And the Baze story, indeed, is very tragic. Keep the faith on Dialed In. I absolutely think he's a major player Saturday. · 373 days ago ·

Animal Kingdom burst from the pack to win the 137th running of the Kentucky Derby and he heads to Baltimore as the like choice to win the 2011 Preakness Stakes. I thought we're supposed to be an old boys club that is tight lipped about everything? Perhaps it is just from some participants that this has reared its head. The synopsis of the post-Derby mahem was frank, honest and extremely detailed. Some thoughts: Archarcharch looks like he is going to be fine...Read More

I just heard that the damage is to bad for him to go back to racing but by the tone of his owners post, he will go out to stud or become someone loving pet or both.
I hope he will be able to get back to racing but if not I hope and pray that he will have a safe home to live out his life. Which I think he has.

First off I would like to start off by saying, I got to see the Derby Draw LIVE yesterday!
