Older Comments about Archarcharch...

Glad to here that his first foal was born January 12th.

  • kay.robinett · shadowno, I personally will not consider a stallion a failure until he has at least a crop or two reach the age where he himself performed his best. Invasor was best as an older horse at longer distances. His eldest crop has only just turned four. I want to see a couple of his crops at age four until I will agree with you on his being a failure. Just as with those people who call Curlin a failure because he did not have two year old major stakes winners. He never even ran as a two year old - let's wait and see how his three year olds do on the track before we proclaim him a failure. · 1288 days ago
  • shadowno · Stud fee down to 4K. Not a single GSW. This horse (Invasor) was successful at 3 thus the million plus that was paid to bring him from Uruguay. You can paint it any way you choose but in reality he is a flop. Breeders know it, Shadwell knows it. They should be giving away his seasons to attract mares at this point. · 1288 days ago
Seems as though a lot of the "First Foals" this year are fillies... that's interesting.
Great horse, I think would have kept improving as he raced. I loved when the caller said his name :D
His trainer, william fires, is very nice. I met him and got my picture taken with him and a winning horse in the winner's circle at Hoosier Park
i miss so much archarcharch, he was great i hate how he got injured in kentucky derby
I miss him & he was the one I choose for the Kentucky Derby. I hated it that he had post position # 1 with that many horses running. Got crowded & pushed around @ start & was probably injured during that particular time but by gosh, that boy finished the race & he was ahead of horses that had not been injured!!
I miss this boy :/
so sad that he is retired:(

  • xMystix · I really liked this horse, too, my pick to win the Kentucky Derby. And I like his sire. I just wished he hadn't been injured :(. · 1870 days ago
I just wanted to say... this horse is BEAUTIUL!
Saddened to hear that Archarcharch has been retired from racing.
Hes hurt, I am so sad for him, my poor boy... D:

  • Thoroughbred44 · It's a lateral condylar fracture in his right front. That's what I heard. · 1907 days ago
  • JamminPark · Yea, he should be ok but this may end his career, oh my favorite boy...This is horrible! D: · 1906 days ago
I just heard that the damage is to bad for him to go back to racing but by the tone of his owners post, he will go out to stud or become someone loving pet or both.
I hope he will be able to get back to racing but if not I hope and pray that he will have a safe home to live out his life. Which I think he has.
I liked archarcharch before i knew he won the arkansas derby!!!! Midnight interlude, and mucho macho man, will be right behind him.I would have to box all three!!
I'm going to stick with my guns, post 1 and all. If he gets a trip and saves ground, he'll be that much further ahead. He's just going to need the Sea Hero ride.

  • blooy · beting a few horses with him but i want him to win. · 1909 days ago
  • bigbrown2332 · There's not much speed just to his outside, Jon's a good enough rider and he is known for breaking great, I think he'll be able to take a good position somewhere in the middle of the pack and probably make a move at the three eighths pole. He's been looking really great in his works and his gallops are very strong. · 1909 days ago
im betting on this beauty
POST 1 OOOOH NO .... CYA archy
  • ajump08 · Lookin' at Lucky was tough from it last year (the 1 post), but I watched Smarty Jones's Derby, and Limehouse got the garden trip from the 1 hold to take a solid 4th. · 1910 days ago
NO NO NO NO NO! He has post position 1, the inside, no one has won since the 80's.... NOOOO!
Hes my choice for the Derby. My second choice is Uncle Mo. Cant wait to actually be at the Derby this year. Its gonna be so fun.
I think archarcharch will hit the board!!!!!! with a burst of speed starting at the 3/8 pole passing half the field on the turn.
