It's been three months since Point of Entry trounced Animal Kingdom ... looks like we will need to wait another month before his encore performance.Read More

i really think this horse can at least hit the board in the Queen Anne. they said the way the course is, its closer to to a mile & an eighth. hopefully he does well!
Recent word is Animal Kingdom could be heading to Royal Ascot for the Queen Anne? If it's true, it won't be a walk in the park, as All Too Hard it headed for that race as well

  • mkstorm · Have to agree with the last comment, but will these three closers get a clean trip? Even if he skims the rail, I think Revolutionary is going to have to make an early move like he did going into the far turn in the LA Derby. I definitely think he'll be coming from the inside while Orb and Normandy will be wide coming down the stretch. It should be an exciting finish. · 22 days ago ·

I know no one else on here saw it, but I live 15 minutes from Arlington Park and I remeber being there when he made his career debut on the polytrack, and after the race had ran I followed the winner and forgot about Animal Kingdom till he won the spiral. Alought the winner Willcox Inn became a multiple graded stakes winner in his own respect. Also the 3rd and 4th place finishers in that race became Illinois bred stakes winners and stakes placed. Thats my fondest memory of AK, seeing him start his racing career.

So glad Animal Kingdom went and dominated in Dubai, especially against that overrated mare. Have a strong suspicion the same thing would've happened to Zenyatta if she ever made the trip, which is why that mare doesn't even get the respect Royal Delta gets from me (who is not s syn specialist like Z was). Just think of what may have been if AK didn't experience the injuries in his career he did. Thought he was something special before, during, and after the derby. Nothing has changed. After that monster BC Mile performance coming back from injury, I felt more confident in him as I was going into the derby a couple years ago.

  • Mary Z. · icy, Of course she's not overrated, and yes, it's true that the broodmare that just foaled her second colt, so way old news about her racing career, never would have run once let alone twice in Dubai, but it's only sporting to carve right to the heart of the matter and offer congrats on the winning Derby and DWC picks, belatedly. · 45 days ago ·
