What the Nation is saying about American Story...

Once again the winner of the $250,000 Vanity Handicap (Grade I) won in last-to-first fashion, as Blind Luck swung wide to pass all five rivals through the stretch as the 9-to-5 second choice and edged 7-to-5 favorite Switch by half a length at the wire. Read More
Ultra Blend, who won the Grade II Milady Handicap May 21 due to the disqualification of St Trinians, will cut back in distance for Saturday's Grade 2 A Gleam at Hollywood Park. • medlocke · St Trinians really likes that all-weather surface at Hollywood Park a great deal. She's run about as well over it as any other surface she's raced on since coming to America. But I just think that Switch's turn of foot might prove to be the difference in this race!! Switch defeated Blind Luck last season at Hollywood Park. Blind Luck is certainly not without a shot in this race. But I think she's about a half-length better on conventional dirt than she is on a synthetic surface. JMO. · 1118 days ago ·
