  • Mary Z. · I had a dream that I thought was real. It was that Gun Boat won the Laz Barrera, only I didn't know the race name in the dream/ what I thought was a memory. I was actually surprised that Gun Boat would be running again so quickly after his "win", which was just this past weekend. When I looked up his last start, I realized it was a dream, as he hasn't raced since 4/22. Not saying that's a reason to bet on him, and if anyone does, of course that's at their own risk, but the last horse that I dreamed of winning, in blinkers and on the outside, was Groupie Doll before the Madison. This race seems right for Drill, but I like that weight break for Gun Boat, besides the premonition. · 14 days ago ·

AA is in one of my RttR stables...his jawdropping performance in the Harry Henson reminds me why I put him in! Heard it on the radio, and can't wait to see the video.

Sunday Santa Anita Park Recap – April 22 The meet concluded on Sunday with a pair of wire jobs on dirt and turf. Rafael Bejarano and Joel Rosario both booted home a pair. • irishbrave · I just watched the head-on replay again--when Bodemeister drifted out a bit, CC may have had a Futurity flashback :0. Happy to be able to leg out, too. I don't think he needs the whip either, and anybody who even looked heavy-handed with it would never be on him anyway. The hardest part of riding CC, I think, is getting him to STOP! · 60 days ago ·

  • Mary Z. · Who could blame Creative Cause for having Del Mar Futurity flashbacks? He was almost mortally squished. Thank you for the insight about him, irishbrave. · 59 days ago ·

Friday Santa Anita Park Recap – March 9 Three sprint wire jobs on the fast main track. Turf course seemed to play fair (rail at 30 feet). Hat trick for Rafael Bejarano. • El Kabong · Fed Biz is the horse. Pedigree and natural talent. Plus, and I know this is less professional, I like the fact that a rider of Bejarano's talent and character came back to the winner's circle after that Allowance win with the look of a kid at Christmas time. He boasted, "this is my Derby horse buddy." Normally I don't get that giddy over post race comments, but this is a leading rider who has been on all the big names out west. He has been on Liason, Out of Bounds, Secret Circle, Creative Cause, and Rousing Sermon. To just chuck them all and make that statement tells me that the horse is special. I was watching the race and the post race. Baffert was genuinely giddy and noted in post race interviews that Fed Biz wasn't even putting any effort into the race. He was running with his ears up. green and didn't change leads until the finish. Bejarano noted that he had alot left and he felt like he was just galloping. This is the one to watch in Baffert's Barn and hopefully he will not disappoint. I have some future wager exactas that are counting on it. · 89 days ago ·

One way to look at Creative Cause’s third place finish as the 1-2 favorite in Sunday’s San Vicente at Santa Anita is that it was the perfect prep, just enough to knock the rust off while setting him up for a successful stretch back out to two turns, around which he won the Grade 1 Norfolk and was a ...Read More
