this was a very good race horse until his connections put him on the shelf for a year. his first race, 5 furlongs in 56.8. either he freaked or he was a freak. shame on the connections for shelving him.

  • travel_vic · so do these "wide guy," inside information flights of fantasy does to many. · 552 days ago
  • travel_vic · that is "wise guy" as IF THERE IS some inner circle that exists which can circumvent the relaities of racing. The old boat race ideas are just as much fiction today as they ever were. AND "I have seen the x-rays B.S." No vet in their right mind would diagnosis ulers with radiology when scoping was available. · 552 days ago
goblin, hiil and dale has a big shareholding in tokyo. hes in japan. hill and dale has majority rights, but some of their horses are bred in japan. its like we will bake the pie and share it with you but we get most of it. and thats whats up here. its all about money now. they dont care about the triple crown anymore, yeah it be nice to win it from the money standpoint but as long as everybody gets their piece of the pie, who cares about greatness. what happened to the old owners and trainers that just wanted to win and liked doing it as sport. the money has gone to everybodys head. its not about winning anymore unless you are a small underdog looking to win some big races. kudos to cali chromes connections by the way. The little man underdog finally wins one. Its about time.
ok i understand but if i read right the injury was way further down the road. just trying to make a point no pun intended
  • goblin · Okay, this is my last comment on the subject of MacLean's Music. He started only once, and NOT as a two year old; he was three, and never raced again. http://www.equibase.com/profiles/Results.cfm?type=Horse&refno=8259272®istry=T · 553 days ago
well then what do you think the deal was. he ran first in his first race smashing the track record as a two year old. yeah i understand its hoosier park. but then againa second better than 58 flat. look at Mccleans music a couple years back at santa anita. He was a two year old and his first race he won at first asking and posted a 114 beyer speed figure. Unlike alumnis connections, mccleans music connections didnt even race him again. The y sold him to a private ownership in japan. Who knows what he could have been. its all about money now, and less about greatness. why keep good horses down? Now am i still a troll? Ya bozo!

for alumni, 103 beyer in first start ever. in hand. he would have been a superstar
A very well beaten last.
alumnis connections will point him to kentucky! I think he will be a sprinter more than anything, but his pedigree is made for distance. we will see
Alumni is a Churchill Downs. Can't wait for his next race! :)
At 5 furlongs he equaled the track record at hoosier park. with a eye-popping 56.8 time in his first ever race
