  • AnneShaw · After the interview with her owners and connections following the BC I was completely turned off. Tiger was on lead. Ria didn't have to take such a close path. Just like in basketball, she drew a foul if indeed there was one. I can't wish her well except for good health which I hope they all are. · 82 days ago ·
  • tmallios1 · Anne you will not have to worry about her. These Eric Guilliot wannabees just talked all through the winter to get print. I thought they were doing it to put her in the limelight and increase her value. I think they were trying to sell a piece or all of her. When nobody bit, they withdrew their plans to face the boys and are now pointing to the filly Stake. You are correct, they did not take the high road after the race. But as Bill Parcells always says. You are who you are. · 82 days ago ·

The only time I ever made a bet one one horse to win, it was Althea and she won, It was so eerie, it was a "feeling", but too bad the odds were almost even. I will always remember Althea and the thrill of watching her run. I was fairly bummed when she tired to nearly last in the Kentucky Derby, but I was rooting for her and quite impressed, even proud in an odd way. A great filly..

Why would anyone vote this horse down? She was top notch!
  • Thead'or · Not many people know about her I geuss, even HRN. She only has one race in her history. · 1135 days ago ·
  • footlick · Brilliant before the Kentucky Derby. That race, which was too long for her seemed to rip her heart out. · 1135 days ago ·
May 14, 1984 So there he was, all by himself except for Swale, looking suddenly far older than his 70 years—a drawn, frail, ashen man standing in the winner's circle at Churchill Downs with the cameras snapping, the pale wind blowing and the crowds surging toward him, calling his name. Trainer Woody...Read More
