Dmr 9/3/2010 R7 - Del Mar - El Cajon Stakes
Friday's 7th race (6:30PM PT) from Del Mar is the $100,000 El Cajon Stakes for 3-year-olds traveling one mile on Polytrack.
#5 Gallant Gent (4-1) ran well in both local Polytrack sprint starts here last year and the Grade 1 placed gelding exits a solid show finish behind promising runner
Twirling Candy in the grassy Oceanside Stakes. He owns fine tactical speed and note that he was a vet scratch Aug 14. His recent works look solid.
#6 Distorted Economy (7-2) exits back-to-back strong efforts at this course/distance. The versatile colt attracts Bejarano and sports a six furlong bullet for this.
#2 Goggles McCoy (5-2) has yet to be challenged in his four race sprint career. He tries two turns for the first time and must shake off pace rival
Just Magic. He shows two local bullets but does not figure to offer much value.
