who am i ???

*Bred in the Sunshine State, my sire was a classic winner and my broodmare sire was a Horse of the Year.
*My bargain basement yearling purchase price of just over $7,000 seemed justified until I turned it around early in my sophomore season.
*I won more than half of my starts over a three-year racing career which included twelve stakes victories.
*My first stakes win came in the South, but not in Florida or Louisiana.
*My stakes victories came at eight different racetracks, but none of them came in New York, California, Florida or Kentucky.
*One of my toughest career defeats came over 1 3/16 miles at Pimlico.
*I was always easy to find due to my running style and yellow and pink colors.
*The jockey who rode me to the most victories had previously won an Eclipse as the Outstanding Apprentice Jockey.
*Four of my twelve stakes wins came just outside of Chicago.
*In my most famous race, I finished third in a thrilling stretch battle with a pair of classic winners.
*My successful breeding career was cut short when I passed suddenly in a Virginia breeding shed.
You should know by now … Who Am I ???

What the Nation is saying about Who Am I ???...

O M G - I was at the gym and it was frickin LOST CODE of all things. Really Zipper? Really?
Not Florida, Ernie?
Congrats Dave!
How's THAT for a reply? HAHAHAHA
Lost code?
See, Brian, this wasn't fair. When you said not in Louisiana or Florida, I was sure you were talking about ARKANSAS, since that's where you're getting fat. :) And early in his sophomore season, so surely it was a Southwest winner, since you were just there. Your entire trip was to fool me in this contest. I hate you, jerk.
Way to go, Dave ... what clue was the giveaway for you?
Hey - I finally won one. Loved that horse.
Zenner's a winner ... it is Lost Code!
Sorry, it is not Pleasant Tap.
Pleasant Tap?
