Horse Racing Nation picks the Preakness

I'll Win Another

In a brazen display of handicapping confidence, the cream of the Horse Racing Nation crop have decided to lay their reputations on the line and try not only to pick the winner of the Preakness, but also nail down the entire superfecta of racing's Middle Jewel. Are 25 heads better than one? We shall soon see, with the hope that the consensus of our selections plays out on the racetrack. And if we are right, our sport will move one step closer to our first Triple Crown in more than a third of a century, as somewhat surprisingly, the HRN group has tabbed the Derby winner, I'll Have Another as a solid overall top pick, while current favorite Bodemeister is only the place pick. Also of note, if your name is note I'll Have Another, Bodemeister, Creative Cause, or Went the Day Well, our experts say no Preakness for you. Without further ado, here is how Horse Racing Nation sees tomorrow's big race …

… Leaving us with the consensus Top 4 of:

1. I'll Have Another

2. Bodemeister

3. Creative Cause

4. Went the Day Well

Did we collectively get it right? Tell us what your Preakness superfecta is.

What the Nation is saying about Nation picks the Preakness...

Congrats to Ashley, Marion, and Julie for nailing the Preakness trifecta cold!
i'll have another, creative cause and bode. i'll have another has been the horse i have been looking for in a while now, can take any style and win with it. long as it doesn't rain can always be a considered threat. plus he has made me a ton of money besides his flop at saratoga. good luck to everyone today!

Good points icy - I am a little worried about a bounce from Bode that will put him right out of the money so I'll do the 9,5 exbox and a 9,5/9,5/all tri
@cugel the clever, I like your selections but IHA and WTDW 9/5 is a cold ex and I'll use CC, Bode but these two ran hard in the derby and they may come up a little short so I'm also throwing in 9/5 wt All wt All as well as the tri which I'll touch on a little more. After the race we'll see who the experts are, if there are any. lol
IHA has the best times by all others. He was the faster horse before the Derby and stayed the faster horse after the Derby. A. In 1 1/16m did 1.40.84 B. In 1 1/8m did 1.47.88 C. In 1 1/4m did 2.01.83
1.Bodemeister 2.Zetterholm 3.Creative Cause 4.I'll Have Another
the rail will take it this time if Tiger Walk gets to front early
  • Capper · Tony, if Tiger Walk is leading after a 1/2 mile, my next blog will be about how you're the greatest handicapper alive! · 370 days ago ·

5,6,9/5,6,9/1,2,5,6,7,9/1,2,5,6,7,9.
Bodemiester is not getting the speed favoring track like he did at Churchill, IHA has the perfect stalking trip and wins. My full Preakness analysis is here http://handicrapper.blogspot.com/ Good luck to all! Except Andy Beyer!
IHA, Went The Day Well over Tiger Walk, CC & Bodemeister
$1 super box 5,6,7,9 $5 super 5,9/5,9/6,7/6,7 $44 total bet these 4 outclass the rest by far
1. i'll have another 2. went the day well 3. bodemeister 4. creative cause
Really tough to decide, I like Bodemeister, Ill have another, creative cause, went the day well and zetterholm. Im hoping Bodemeister or Zetterholm wins, but then again I want Ill Have Another to win..were due for a triple crown winner!
