(Video) Dawn at the Downs - Kentucky Derby 2012

Kentucky Derby Report 4-30
The Derby madness is in high effect out here on the backside. Today marked the first day of Dawn at the Downs. For those of you who aren't familiar with this, it's basically a media frenzy covering Oaks and Derby. Several TV and radio stations have their morning show programs out on the backside. Local and national celebrities also are found roaming the backside in the mornings. The horses I included in my report today are I'll Have Another, Sabercat, Creative Cause and more!

With more beatuiful weather in store for tomorrow morning we'll catch up with several horses expected to ship to the grounds plus another run down of my top 4 horses.

What the Nation is saying about (Video) Dawn at the Downs - Kentucky Derby 2012...

Oh, how I wish I was there!
Go piece, can't wait till Saturday......I think at this point Creative cause is going to be the winner, at this point my opinion will change after the post postition draw on Wednesday !!!!!!1
hmm, wise beyond your years--noted. lol.
I know that his family have a clear idea of things that should and should not be said. I love M. Harrington, he is a fav. trainer!
More trainers should follow Mr.Harrington's example of how to respond to reporters. Just had to turn the volume up to catch everything.
They are all ones to worry about, given how a race is won any horse can win it.
I'll Have Another is one good looking horse ... yet another one to worry about.

Meet Kevin Kerstein

Long story short, I took the long road getting involved in the industry. I did not get into horse racing until 2008 when I came to Louisville for college.

I'm originally from outside of Philadelphia and attend college at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky. Since I was 15 I was involved with working in radio and TV. I first covered horse racing at the 2011 Kentucky Derby and my passion just continues to grow. Let the early mornings begin and the Derby fever heat up as we hit the backside to get the exclusive stories leading up to the first Saturday in May.
