Breeders’ Cup Buzz Horse #10 - Vorda
Breeders' Cup Division: Juvenile Fillies Turf

Vorda (FR)
Breeding: Orpen – Velda (GB) (Observatory)
2. b.f
Trainer: P. Sogorb, France
Owner: H H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Thani
Breeder:  Edy S.R.L.
*Timeform Master Rating: 112
Most Impressive Prep Race: Group 1 Connolly's Red Mill Cheveley Park Stakes
**Timeform Performance Rating: 95

Analysis of key prep race (Group 1 Connolly's Red Mill Cheveley Park Stakes): A winner on her first three starts, the French-trained Vorda found the powerful American colt No Nay Never too good in the Prix Morny at Deauville, but, back against her own sex, she justified favouritism in a 6f Group 1 contest at Newmarket last time. Always travelling strongly, Vorda quickened well to win with plenty in hand, establishing herself as one of the leading juvenile fillies seen this season. Untried beyond 6f, the distance of a mile for the Juvenile Fillies’ Turf represents a step into the unknown, but it is worth noting that her owner won the race last year with Flotilla, a filly who hadn’t achieved such a high level of form.

*Timeform Master Ratings are adjusted for age, so that equal ratings mean horses of equal merit. Another way of looking at it is to see the universal rating handicap as four handicaps side by side: one for two-year-olds, one for three-year -olds, one for four-year-olds and one for older horses.
**In TimeformUS past performances, neither the Timeform Performance Ratings nor the TimeformUS Speed Figures are adjusted for age.

If Vorda gets the mile she wins the BC Juvenile Fillies Turf doing hand stands. I've seen every filly in this field race at least once this season and Vorda's turn of foot far exceeds the other fillies in the field, IMO. She's already a G1 & G2 winner in Europe, and her only career loss to date was her 2nd in the G1 Prix Morny at Deauville, and she ran a blinder in that race too finishing only 1 length behind No Nay Never, who I'll guarantee you is at least 3 to 4 lengths better than any of the other fillies that will be going to post. JMO.
Doug, definitely like this countdown list! The Juvenile Filly Turf looks like one tough field.
