Meet Casey Laughter

I have loved horses for as long as I can remember. I used to have hundreds of toy horses when I was little. My love of horse racing came quickly into my life the moment Funny Cide crossed the wire in the 2003 Kentucky Derby. Thanks to my dad, I now consume every ounce of thoroughbred literature I can.

When I am not stuffing my brain with pedigrees, numbers, statistics, and more, I spend my free time with my fiancé and my dog, a Boxer mix named Piper. I enjoy hiking, reading, canoeing, and just relaxing.

I am currently enrolled at Wright State University in my home state of Ohio, studying communication and sociology. I also photograph families, pets, and nature in my off time.

Including Horse Racing Nation, I also am a frequent contributor to Lady and The Track and my own personal blogs, A World Full of Furlongs and All That Noise, which is not racing related. It is more of my personal journal and thoughts page. I have also written for US Racing in the past.
