Meet Olivia Newman

I am a lifelong horse owner. I grew up riding and competing in shows doing barrel racing, team penning, and draft horse competitions. My dad is also a horse lover and a great horsemen. He has taught me so much. He works with draft horses. My first horses were Belgians, and my first competition took place with Belgians as well.

I have always loved horses and tuned into racing, but it wasn't until Barbaro, that I really got hooked, and I haven't turned back since.  I have got to witness a lot of great moments in racing such as Rachel Alexandra winning the Woodward Stakes at Saratoga and American Pharoah winning the Triple Crown last year. Those are the two best races I have ever seen. Horse racing brings me a sense of happiness that nothing can compare to.  I fall in love with the horses, they inspire me.

I am a member of TOBA and the NYTB. I have worked on several thoroughbred breeding farms in the upstate New York area. I love doing foal watch and sales prepping yearlings. My ultimate goal is to become a trainer. You can follow me on twitter @barbaroloverrr, like my page on facebook The Final Furlong and follow me on instagram The Final Stride. :)
