Winchell Thoroughbreds homebred Untapable, winner of last year's Longines Kentucky Oaks (gr. I), will ship up to Saratoga and could run in the two races for Older Mares at the track. Those races could either be the G3 Shuvee on August 1st or the G1 Personal Ensign on August 29th, or possibly both. Trainer Steve Asmussen says he likes the way Untapable looks in her works and hopes a trip to the Spa can turn her fortunes around as she has lost 2 out of her last three races. Article on DRF
Kiaran McLaughlin confirmed Friday to DRF's David Grening that Frosted, 2nd place finisher in the Belmont Stakes, will make his next start Aug. 1 in the Grade 2, $600,000 Jim Dandy at Saratoga. Frosted posted his first work since the Belmont Stakes today going 4F, in 50:99. McLaughlin says he liked the way Frosted looked in the work and says he feels like Frosted is getting back to into shape. McLaughlin also said he was happy American Phaorah was running in the Haskell and not the Jim Dandy. Article on DRF
