Flaxman Holdings Inc has announced that Canadian International winner Erupt will not run in the Breeders Cup Turf, the horse is fine and not hurt, but the connections say he is still tired after the long trip. Flaxman says however that there is still a huge chance Erupt will make his next start in the Japan Cup in late November.
  • sczen50 · I hope that he recovers & does real well. :) · 41 days ago
  • ILuvTurfRacing · If fatigue was what kept him out of the Breeders Cup Turf then I totally understand the decision by the Niarchos Family to bypass sending him to Santa Anita, but to be honest, I would've much rather seen them wait a couple of weeks longer and pointed Erupt at the Hong Kong Vase at Sha Tin over sending him back to Tokyo again. I think the Hong Kong Vase would've been a much more winnable race for Erupt, because European based horses just simply haven't fared well in the Japan Cup for a long time now. The last time a European based horse has even hit the board in the Japan Cup was all the way back in 2006 when the talented filly Ouija Board posted a 3rd place finish, and the best finish by a Euro horse since then still remains a 4th place finish in 2009 by 2-time Breeders Cup Turf winner, Conduit, in the final race of his career. · 23 minutes ago
This is a bold prediction, but I think he's going to pass the wire 1st or 2nd on the the 1st Saturday in May, 2017. He is impressive!
Wow, what a win! Singled her and Mastery in a $50 P3! Big balloons!
California Chrome's dam Love the Chase will be bred to Pioneerof the Nile of a 2018 foal.
That's a performance! Just dueled the lead with a 22.1 second quarter, and went 45 and 1:09 and buried the other speed and pulled away from the rest of the field. Impressive.
Mastery in a masterpiece! Wasn't asked until mid stretch but when he was, he took off. This guy is a serious player going into 2017.
that's how a good horse wins!
Won the the Smooth Air Stakes today at Gulfstream by 7 lengths!
Just found out General Quarters was sold to Turkey.
Where is this horse? He hasn't worked recently.
What's up with Handsome Hank ??? I fell for this boy at Art Sherman's barn !!!
Anyone know how Hank is doing with Steve Sherman at Golden Gate ??
Because of all the success he's had internationally I understand the decision, but I'm personally a little disappointed that connections have decided the G1 Hong Kong Cup is gonna be the final run of Maurice's career. I was so hoping to see him line up at Meydan in March for the 2017 renewal of the G1 Dubai Turf.
When is she coming back to the states?
Jersey Bred! Love it
In foal to Raison d'Etat for 2017
In foal to Bayern for 2017
