People betting on this horse to win will be really disappointed after the Pacific Classic. Considering where Accelerate is, I don't think Collected will finish better than third.
gonna blow this field away, put big bucks on her, get a good return if they believe the handicappers down south.
What dams are going to be carrying Nyquist foals?
Update on Gormley? What race is he looking up to?
Trainer Aidan O'Brien tells the Racing Post that Rhododendron is nearing a return to action after having bled during the running of French Oaks at Chantilly back in June. However, O'Brien said that the G1 Yorkshire Oaks is coming a bit too soon and that she would miss going to York. He said it's possible she may resurface at Leopardstown back down in trip to a mile for the G1 Matron Stakes in early September, where it's likely she would clash with stablemates Winter and Roly Poly in the race.
Casse announced what 2 weeks ago he wasnt thriving at Saratoga. Why wasn't he moved then? They knew his back was bad then but keep on doing the same thing. Coolmore doesn't race past 3 so this is it? I'd love to see him race again but am getting tired of the excuses. Casse and owner have lost a lot of credibility.
Grandfather of the first Grand Slam winner American Pharoah
It is clear that the goal is the BCC. Why don't they just ship him to Del Mar now and run him in allowance race prepping for the BCC?
Half brother to the grand slam winner American Pharoah. Excited to see what his next race is going to be. The fact that he won at 7 furlongs is good, but he needs more than one race to prove himself. But who named this colt? I mean, coltandmississipi? Can someone update me when he is going to race again? Thanks
Arrogate is the heavy favorite, but Collected will beat him that. Sorry Erik is my long shot.
Per the Racing Post on Wednesday Highland Reel has been nominated again for the C O X Plate. It seems the choices are Enable in the Arc or Winx in the Plate. The other possibility would seem to the easiest. The Breeders Cup Turf where he would not have to deal with either of these talented ladies and would most certainly get the firm turf he needs.

Huge next three days for Curlin two year olds!! : Thursday: Curluck (Race 3 Gulfstream) Sweet Sophie Grace (Race 5 Del Mar) Friday: O Shea Can U See (Race 1 Monmouth Park) Saturday: Variant Perception (Race 5 Saratoga) Dixie Moon (Race 5 Woodbine) Cordmaker (Race 9 Laurel Park)
From today's Racing Post web-site: British trainer Declan Carroll was dealt a tough blow earlier today when his star juvenile colt, Santry, suffered a fatal leg injury on the gallops, working in preparation for the upcoming G2 Gimcrack Stakes at York. Santry had won his first two starts in the Brocklesby Conditions Stakes at Doncaster and a Novice Stakes event at York before finishing 2nd, beaten only a 1/2 length by Aidan O'Brien's star juvenile colt, Sioux Nation, in the G2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal-Ascot, and really looked to have a very bright future ahead of him going forward for Carroll before tragedy sadly struck.

If she goes to the PE she would face Songbird and Forever Unbridled, and I just don't see her winning against them - at least not the Bird. Forever Unbridled is known to have an off day every once in awhile although she's been consistent since the Distaff. Plus there's the slight possibility that Stellar Wind ships for the Ensign, although I doubt that'll happen. On the flip side, if they wait for the Coliton then she may possibly face Unique Bella, given that she returns to form in time. Out of the two races I would go with the Coliton, although that's just my opinion... but I have to say, it would be exciting to see a 3YO face older mares this early in the year! And out of her crop, I think AT or UB have the best chances.
  • BeastBob via Disqus · Actually, based on their recent races, I have Abel Tasman beating Songbird in the PE by at least 1 length. Forever Unbridled will beat both of them. · 7 hours ago
