With McCracken now out of the Tampa Bay Derby, I am expecting a larger field here. This is a great opportunity now for someone to grab the Derby points here.
BREAKING NEWS : McCracken, the unbeaten colt who ranks as the current favorite for the May 6 Kentucky Derby, will miss his next scheduled prep race, the March 11 Tampa Bay Derby, after being diagnosed with what trainer Ian Wilkes described as a “very minor” injury to his left front ankle. Wilkes says the injury was checked by doctors and McCracken will be cleared soon. He will now be pointed to the Bluegrass Stakes in mid April.
Battle of Midway had a good 5f work in 59.40 yesterday and appears back on track!
I have a tip for you all. Classic Empire dodges the Craken and it is straight and strong!
McCraken is skipping the Tampa Bay Derby and is now pointing straight for the Blue Grass...
Looking forward to Always Dreaming running a big race in the TB Derby. He will have the tactical advantage on McCracken and I think he will pull the upset. I bet him in kdfw3 at 42-1.
The newest edition to my racing team. Horse #6 Shesthewinner. Happy to own some of this lovely lady.
He might be going Wood after the Fountain of Youth...
Be Careful of this horse he's Undefeated in 4 starts on Dirt so far and he's headed to the Dubai World Cup I believe
From this morning's Racing Post web-site: How quickly fortunes can change. After Werther's win in the G1 Hong Kong Gold Cup on Sunday, trainer John Moore seemed excited about telling the HKJC web-site that Hong Kong's former HOY would be heading to Meydan next month to contest the G1 Dubai Turf. But on Tuesday, Moore received a text from Werther owner, Johnson Chen, proclaiming he had apparently had a change of heart and has now decided against sending Wether to Dubai. Needless to say, trainer John Moore was very dismayed at the news.
*CONFIRMED NEWS* "Arrogate" will be running next in the Dubai World Cup, odds of 2-5 and 1-3 right across the board with all the UK Bookmakers!!!!
By The Numbers -- Got a reply back from Byron Rogers regarding the discussion below. I only mentioned the Del Mar Futurity since as I said, there is no Trakus at Monmouth and Pimlico. Here is his reply - "Thanks. I've seen the Trakus data on that race but it doesn't jive with the timing of his splits in the race via video timing. I think the timing devices were wrong on that day. That said, I maintain that American Pharaoh was a pace sensitive rhythm galloper, rather than a horse with a true turn of foot. I think Arrogate would be too fast for him as he'd be able to sit off his speed and drop a 22 quarter in when needed."
Hope there are more horses entered than 7. Need at least 10 entries for a decent race.

As I said in the other thread, I bet this is his last race, so enjoy it. Why risk him after that for mere $1 million purses when Juddmonte can get $8-$10 million/year in stud fees for 12 or so years?
He has such an awesome pedigree; I've always been a fan of Serena's Song's grandchildren (not sure what the term is for that in horse racing...)
It's hard to believe that she's the last foul out of Serena's Song. Her bloodline is royalty and we haven't heard about her for awhile, so I hope her owners aren't talking about retiring her so soon. Any news on this beautiful filly?
Another horse to consider, hasn't done anything wrong, doesn't need the lead to win and has good times.
Clocker Andy Harrington says "He's come back from Florida stronger".
Someone should write a poem about Arrogate. This is my terrible haiku: When he runs he wins The others are left behind. He breaks the records
First bred mare has scanned and is in foal.
