Honor Code will workout tomorrow at Payson Park, however McGaughey says that HC will skip the Hal's Hope and instead point for the Gulfstream Park Handicap for his four year old debut, according to DRF
She's entered in a $50k stake tomorrow at Fair Grounds!! She should win!
Jess's Dream will either starter in the Second race at Gulfstream 12/26 or 12/27 depending on which race fills

It's too bad what happened to Shared Belief in B.C.Classic, considering the trip he had he should not have been in the top 5, now with that being said, Shared Belief is IMO the best horse in the country. The good thing is he will return as a 3yr. old and even better than he was at 2. Look for continued improvement and shades of Spectacular Bid will be in the making for 2015. Dismiss this talented hombre if you will, if he can stay healthy in 2015 we will be in for a treat in regards to the exceptional individual he is and how special a runner he is and will be talked about for years to come as being one of the best to ever look through a bridle. Grade 1 Malibu is a preview as to what is to come from this gifted and super talented hombre and will be the talk of 2015 as to just how good he is and he will rank right up there with the best to ever set foot on a race track........... <\_~

  • Mary Z. · Chitu the person, sorry to attempt math, but one win means 7f is Chitu's preferred distance? Not that he can't win if nothing bothers him on the lead, but that Midnight Hawk that might have run with him had a bad start in the Damascus. Here is what is in Chitu's favor, the SA track will be lightning fast for opening day, unless weather changes history. Who knows how small the field will be, but everyone knows Chitu's game, so hopefully someone goes with him. I won't be going against Shared Belief. GL, btw. · 13 hours ago
  • chitu77 · Mary Z, I apologize if I confuse you when I said 7F is Chitu's preferred distance. What I meant is that Chitu preferred a much shorter distance like 6F, 7F or 1 mile, so he can use his speed to his advantage. We all know he was beaten badly in the Kentucky Derby, which was run in 10F. Also, I won't be betting against Shared Belief, I will bet Chitu to win no matter who the competition are. I will always have faith that he will run his hearts out, win or lose. GL to you too!! · 12 hours ago
We will see if he can go further then a mile with better company. His Dam and dam sire Tale of the Cat were speed horses who were primarily sprinters. The 2nd dam is unraced. Better hope Big Juice can provide the stamina influence this horse requires to compete in the derby. I think he is another speed type like Bayern, but up to a mile. We shall see in time what he can do as the water gets deeper.

David Flores, a fixture on the Southern California circuit for more than three decades, will ride at Santa Anita early on after plying his trade in Singapore the past year. “I came home for Christmas and hopefully I’ll get to ride something here the first weekend,” Flores said. “I’ll go back to Singapore after the New Year.”
Versatile millionaire Clubhouse Ride, who worked five furlongs Monday in 1:01, is a candidate for the Grade III Daytona Stakes at about 6 ½ furlongs on turf, pending another scheduled breeze on Monday. “If he comes out of that good, he might run in the Daytona,” trainer Craig Lewis said. “He hurt his back in the Pacific Classic and had some soft tissue damage near his pelvis, but he’s such a tough horse we didn’t know anything was wrong until we did a nuclear scan.”
Eclipse Award-winning trainer Bill Mott plans to run Twilight Derby winner Long On Value in the Mathis Brothers Mile (turf) on opening day at Santa Anita.
Bob Baffert says American Pharoah is undergoing massage treatment at his Santa Anita barn and is expected to resume training next month. Favored to win the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile last Nov. 1, the son of Pioneerof the Nile was scratched four days before the Juvenile due to a deep bruise in his left front leg.
I've owned nine racehorses ,this one is my favorite overall. Has so much heart ,and was stakes placed. not bad for an Ontario sired.
Jess's Dream worked today!!!!!I wonder if that means he's about to race? Date: December 18, 2014 Track: PALM MEADOWS TRAINING CENTER Distance: Five Furlongs Time: 1.00:25 Breezing Track Condition: Fast Surface: Dirt Rank: 2/14

  • tmallios via Disqus · On Aqueducts daily wrap up show in NY. They said that McLaughlin said that he will run him before the New Year. So if he worked today, figure he will need 6 to 7 days to recover. That places him in a race between 12/26 and 12/31. A very important thing to keep an eye on. Who the Jockey will be on him. It will give you a barometer as to how good they think he will be. Irad Ortiz recently rode the 3 debut winners at Aq. last week. He though more than likely will be in NY then. If by chance he shows up to ride him. Then he at least is perceived to be special. · 21 hours ago

Are you going to be in the Kentucky derby next year?
Setsuko, taking on horses 1/2 his age this Saturday in an AOC, R5, at Los Al. I hope he moves forward from start last November.
Surfer wins the inaugural running of the listed Dubai Creek Mile at Meydan. The son of Distorted Humor has always been a very consistent horse over the years racing on Meydan's then tapeta surface, but today came the question of how Surfer would handle conventional dirt for the 1st time in his career and he responded with a 1/2 length win over Ennobled Friend. Having finished 3rd back in March behind Prince Bishop & Sanshaawes in the G1 Al Maktoum Challenge Rd. 3, coupled with his now proving he can also win on conventional dirt, Surfer could prove to be a tough competitor in any of this year's rounds of the Al Maktoum Challenge he might turn up in.
http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/86255/former-penn-clocker-enters-plea-agreement. This is why i never pay attention to what the clockers show on the PPs. One thing Vic says that is true, unless you are there or know someone who was there to see them work, they are meaningless. I am not saying that this is a common practice. I am sure this is the exception and not the rule. But if you are risking your money, why chance it and wonder if you are betting on the exception or the rule. The only thing that a published workout can concrtely tell you. That on that day,the horse more than likely was on the track and he worked. That at least shows that they are healthy enough to work.

  • amino998 · Inducted into the Racing Hall of Fame in 2009, Bob Baffert has achieved almost every accomplishment possible. He’s won three Eclipse Awards as the top trainer in North America, 11 Breeders’ Cup races, nine Triple Crown races, and his horses have amassed almost $215 million in earnings over the past 25 years. He wins at a high rate, so the key in recent history has been identifying which horses to bet, and which ones to avoid. -- Mr. Obvious Mike Hogan in the form · 23 hours ago
