Secretariat - March 17th

In his three-year-old debut, Secretariat won the Bay Shore Stakes at Aqueduct by 4 1/2 lengths. ~1973

I really do miss Big Red and the way the industry was run back then.
Yeah! He was awsome, and those were different times,back then. Just as a reminder, the Stepping stone run only 10 days before the Derby set up Cannonade to win the 100th running. Trainer the Great Woody Stephens,the jockey the talented Angel Cordero!
His birthday is coming up as is Man O'War's
That late a 3yo debut, and he still got in three races before the Derby.
