Dullahan, third place finisher in the Kentucky Derby, is now pointed to the Pacific Classic, joining what is shaping up to be a great field. Dullahan is also nominated to the Travers, but his connections said Saturday he will be headed west as soon as possible. With two grade 1 wins over polytrack, Del Mar's surface should be to his liking, but he faces a tough field that will likely include Game On Dude, Richard's Kid, Acclamation, and Suggestive Boy, among others.

Meet Christina Moore

I’m Christina Moore, and my passion for horses has been lifelong.  I caught the racing bug around age 8 and I haven't looked back.  I graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Animal Sciences and a minor in Business, with dreams of a career in horse racing.  I have since followed that dream to the University of Arizona's Race Track Industry Program where I am currently a graduate student slated to finish my studies in May 2013.

This summer I’m interning at Del Mar, and since I was not fortunate enough to grow up near any track-let alone a big one- I am loving being submersed in the California racing scene.  As far as my future, I love everything about horse racing, and I am especially interested in marketing, as well as safety and welfare of the athletes. I hope to both make the sport better and share my love of the sport with people everywhere, making it more than just an afterthought on the American sports landscape.  With this blog I hope to give you a little insight into what's going on at Del Mar this summer.  Enjoy!
